Classes For All Learners and Abilities
Once our students have completed their Learn to Swim journey, Advantage Aquatics' squads cater to students wanting to hone their technique and build endurance. We provide a supportive environment with trained coaches who ensure students are working to their potential across three squad levels, with clear communication of goals and outcomes. With a focus on progress and enjoyment, we help each swimmer take the next step in their aquatic journey.

Development Squad
Development Squads is the introductory squad level. Emphasis is on skill and drill development, which will assist with stroke technique and body awareness. Swimmers will become competent in swimming 50m in all 4 four strokes and perform dives, turns and finishes. Developing technique and swimming fundamentals will ensure swimmers have a strong platform moving forward.
Mini Squad
This squad builds on the core elements learnt in swimming. Mini’s focus is on great technique and the process of how to train with this technique. Skills are broken down into achievable components that further refine technique across all four strokes, gaining competency in starts, turns, and finishes, whilst developing efficiency and endurance ready for movement through to competitive swimming streams.


Bronze Squad
Bronze squad is the entry level to our performance-based squads. Building on fundamental swimming skills and developing the mindset and love for the sport, swimmers will be introduced to a variety of training techniques and racing opportunities. Aiming to guide swimmers for competition but also creating training habits and behaviours that ensure long term success.
Silver and Gold Squad
Gold and Silver squad athletes are constantly striving for ongoing individual and team improvement. Athletes are often in the process of achieving State and National qualifying times with the aim of representing at the highest of levels. These squads train at a high intensity, focusing on technique, strength, endurance and providing the athlete with proficient and suitable racing strategies.


Teen Fitness

Designed for individuals involved in multi sports or swimmers who want to improve their swimming fitness and knowledge to achieve their own swimming goals. It targets the specific endurance and speed needs of the individual's primary sport/event and further develops swimming technique, skills, and conditioning.
