General FAQs

  • What do I need to bring to swimming lessons?

You will need to bring your child’s swimming costume, cap, goggles and towel.

In cooler weather we recommend warm clothing, a swim parker and beanie to leave the centre in.

All children over 3 years and not fully toilet trained require a reusable Happy Nappy.

    Parent/Child Classes:

Adults in a parent/child class must wear a tshirt or rashie over their swimwear, as this forms an essential part of our program. Babies must wear both a disposable nappy and a reusable Happy Nappy (double nappy).

    Adult Lessons:

Adults are required to wear swimwear and caps in the pool.  Streetwear is not permitted.  Goggles are optional, but highly recommended.  Please see our friendly team for options to suit all swimmers.

  • Does my child need to wear a swim cap?

Yes.  Swim caps are a requirement of our program for all children, ages preschool and above.  This ensures both a more productive swim lesson and maintains our water quality to the highest of standards.  Please see our friendly team for options to suit all swimmers.

  • What should I do if my child is sick?

If your child is sick, they should not attend lessons.  Advantage Aquatics provides a generous make-up lesson service.  Please mark your child as absent in the Customer Portal.

  • From what age can I enrol my child in swimming lessons?

At Advantage Aquatics, we have classes that cater to infants from 4 months of age.

  • What qualifications and training do your instructors have?
